Throughout my life, bad movies have always been a fairly addictive vice. They seem to reflect upon the state of humanity, and much like a wealth of modern art, the reflections cast aren’t always the most flattering.  So what continually drives me back into the clutches of movies such as the infamous Manos: The Hands of Fate? Surely the answer can’t be a rivetting plot and well-developed characters. Nor can it be artistic design or cinematography. Much of the blame lies with the brilliant writers of Mystery Science Theater 3000, but even that can’t fully explain why I’d most likely choose a campy zombie flick over an actual movie.

The Mirror is an attempt to catalog my thoughts on the nature of the films I come across that represent the absolute worst that the art has ever produced.  Come along, but be warned, some of these movies are scarring.
